Coppertop Truck Repair is a local heavy duty truck and trailer repair shop in operation for over 10 years. Our shop is growing and we are looking for new Heavy Truck and Transport Technicians to join our team. We are currently seeking a Permanent Full Time Heavy Truck and Transport Mechanic to work in our shop in Edmonton. The position is a full time day shift. Choice of Monday to Friday 8 hour shifts or Monday to Thursday 10 hour shifts with the opportunity for optional overtime in the evenings or weekends if desired.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Performing diagnostics, repairs and preventative maintenance on customer vehicles.
- Conducting CVIP inspections on trucks and trailers.
- Trouble shooting mechanical and electrical problems with highway diesel vehicles.
- Ordering parts, recording POs and arranging pick up or delivery with customers.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and communicate with other mechanics and shop staff.
We are looking for an individual who is
- Organized and able to multitask.
- Works well without direct supervision.
- Able to navigate shop management software.
- Professional in communicating with customers, vendors, co-workers and contractors.
Qualifications
- Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic (Truck and Transport)
- 3rd year Apprentice may be considered
- CVIP Certification preferred
- Class 5 Driver's License
- Clean Driver's Abstract
- Criminal Record Check

Job Description - Full Time Heavy Duty Apprentice

Coppertop Truck Repair is a local heavy equipment repair shop and emergency service truck company in operation for over 10 years.
Job description
We are looking to fill a full time day position with the right apprentice to add to our team. The right candidate will be registered in the apprenticeship program and will have a strong mechanical aptitude and desire to increase their skill set. Overtime available as well as bonus pay for service calls. Flexible hours either Monday to Friday 8 hour shifts or Monday to Thursday 10 hour shifts.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Performing diagnostics and repairs for on road heavy trucks and trailers
- Perform work within Standard Repair Times
- Perform work in accordance with established safety procedures
Qualifications
- 3rd or 4th Year Heavy Equipment Apprentice
- Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence with a Clean Driver's Abstract
- Criminal Record Check
- Experience on Highway trucks an asset
